Post to YouTube from Voholabs Studio
Connect your YouTube channel to upload one video per post, free on every plan. Each upload has a title, a privacy setting, tags, the made-for-kids answer and an optional custom thumbnail.
How do I connect YouTube?#
- Choose Add Channel and click YouTube.
- Sign in to Google. If your channel belongs to a Brand Account, choose the Brand Account when Google asks which account to use.
- Google lists the access Studio asks for: seeing your YouTube account, uploading videos, and reading YouTube Analytics. Tick every box, then continue.
- Back in Studio, Select YouTube Channel: shows each channel with its handle and subscriber count. Choose one.
- The channel appears in the calendar, named after your YouTube channel.
What can I post?#
- Exactly one video per post. A post without a video, or with an image, is refused with "You need one media" or "Item must be a video".
- A description of up to 5,000 characters: the post text.
- No follow-up parts. YouTube posts take no comments or replies.
Which settings does a video have?#
The YouTube settings of the post:
- Title: required, 2 to 100 characters.
- Type: Public (the default), Private or Unlisted.
- Made for kids: No (the default) or Yes. YouTube requires an honest answer for every video.
- Tags: as many as you like, up to 500 characters in total.
- Thumbnail: optional. Use a 1280 by 720 image in JPG or PNG.
Why can't Studio find my channel?#
If Select YouTube Channel: says "We couldn't find any YouTube channels connected to your account.", the Google account you chose has no YouTube channel.
- Check that you picked the right Google account. A channel on a Brand Account only appears when you choose that Brand Account at Google's sign-in, not your personal account.
- If you have no channel yet, create one on YouTube first.
- Close the dialog, delete the unfinished channel from its menu, and add YouTube again.
What analytics does YouTube report?#
Open Analytics in the menu, choose the channel and a period of 7 Days, 30 Days or 90 Days.
- For the channel: minutes watched, average view duration and percentage, subscribers gained and lost, and likes.
- For each video: views, likes, comments and favourites, under Post Statistics when you hover a published post in the calendar. See Analytics.
What do YouTube's errors mean?#

Frequently asked questions
- Does YouTube cost credits?
No. YouTube is free on every plan, including the free plan.
- Can I post a Short?
Upload the vertical video as a normal post. YouTube decides whether a video is treated as a Short from its shape and length, not from anything Studio sends.
- Do my subscribers get notified?
Yes. Studio asks YouTube to notify subscribers when the video is uploaded. YouTube still decides who actually sees a notification.
- Why does the video go out but without my thumbnail?
Custom thumbnails need a verified YouTube account. Verify your account in YouTube Studio, then set the thumbnail there for this video. The upload itself is not affected.
- Can I connect more than one YouTube channel?
Yes. Each YouTube channel is its own Studio channel. Add YouTube again and pick the other channel, or the other Brand Account, when Google asks.
