Post to Threads from Voholabs Studio
Connect your Threads account to post text of up to 500 characters with an image, a video or a carousel, free on every plan. Extra parts are published as replies, forming a thread.
How do I connect Threads?#
- Choose Add Channel and click Threads.
- Sign in with the account behind your Threads profile.
- Approve the access Threads asks for: your profile, publishing, replies and insights.
- The channel appears in the calendar, named after your Threads profile.
What can I post?#
- Text of up to 500 characters, on its own or with media.
- One image or one video.
- A carousel of several images and videos.
- Follow-up parts, added with Add post. Each part is published as a reply to the one before it, so together they form a thread.
How do I post a thread?#
- Write the first post for your Threads channel.
- Click Add post under it and write the next part. Add media to it if you like.
- Repeat for each part, then schedule as usual.
Studio publishes the first post at the scheduled time, then each reply in order. Every part has its own 500-character limit.
What analytics does Threads report?#
Open Analytics in the menu and choose the channel. Threads reports views, likes, replies, reposts and quotes, both for the account and for each post. Per-post figures are under Post Statistics when you hover a published post in the calendar. See Analytics.
What do Threads errors mean?#

| "One of the media URLs is invalid or inaccessible, make sure it's being uploaded to Voholabs first" | Threads could not fetch a file. Upload it through the composer or the media library rather than linking to it, then schedule again. |
| "Error from Meta: We restrict certain activity to protect our community" | Meta limited the account for now. Wait, then try again with different content. |
| "User restricted" | Meta has restricted the account. Check the Threads app for details. |
Frequently asked questions
- Does Threads cost credits?
No. Threads is free on every plan, including the free plan.
- Can each part of a thread have its own image?
Yes. Every part can carry text, one image or video, or a carousel, the same as the first post.
- Do I need to connect Instagram first?
No. Threads signs in on its own. You need a Threads profile, which you create from your Instagram account in the Threads app.
- Why did my Threads channel disconnect?
Studio renews the Threads sign-in automatically, but it ends if you remove Studio's access in your Threads or Instagram settings, or Meta ends the session. Reconnect the channel and your posts stay in place.
